Season’s greetings to all. It’s difficult to believe that the Christmas season is already upon us. It doesn’t seem that long ago that we were celebrating the Holidays and a successful 2019 with family, friends and co-workers. None of us could have foreseen the tumultuous times that lie just ahead. The COVID-19 global pandemic arrived, with the resulting economic recession not far behind. By the beginning of March, we quickly realized that we were looking at a whole new set of challenges.
As we near the end of what will surely go down as one of the most memorable years in our history, it would be easy for us to resign ourselves to more of the same for the next twelve months. As we approach year end and finalize our business planning for 2021, I’m not only thinking about our targets and our objectives, but also the how. Does our strategic plan carry weight in what is almost certain to be another volatile year? My answer to that question is, yes. Even as a global pandemic continues to grip our economy, our hopes and expectations are buoyant. Why, you ask? As I discussed in last month’s blog, United Tax Services has experienced record growth over the last five quarters, with positive indicators pointing to more of the same for 2021. Many experts agree that while index components remain variable and increasingly localized, the overall index nationwide suggests the U.S. housing market is past recovery mode and officially in growth mode. While this may be hard to fully digest considering the wild ride that we took in 2020, we remain cautiously optimistic.
Operationally, we have supplemented our organization with talented, passionate subject matter experts across the board to help scale our operation in 2021. On the technology side, we are putting the finishing touches on our proprietary software buildout, Veritax™, inevitably a gamechanger in our industry. Our sales team is primed and ready to roll out services across Texas and nationally. Exciting!
To my team: I have been reflecting on the things that I am most grateful for. Primarily among those is the talented group of employees who make up United Tax. Thank all of you for your positivity, hard work, collaboration and most importantly, for providing exceptional customer service to our customers. I am proud and inspired by the way our company has risen to the challenges we have seen over the last year and excited to see your growth over the coming year. Again, thank you for your enormous contributions.
Lastly, it would only be fitting that we thank each one of you, our valued customers and partners, for your unwavering support of United Tax Services. Blessings to you and yours during this Holiday Season.
Relax and be happy.
